Not Dead, Just Resting
There’s an piece of Internet lore that, over the years, has graduated to the status of unwritten curse.
It states that when a site’s webmaster makes a post to the extent of, “Real life’s been keeping me busy, but there’ll be updates soon, I promise!” then the site has officially died. Since I’m a superstitous git, I kind of held off making such a post even though this “curse” it’s been disproven by as many sites as it’s been proven by.
However, I’ve been getting way too many questions lately. Which is good! I’m glad to see there are still people around rooting for the Lemonrangers. I thank and appreciate you all. So here’s the deal. Yes, we’ve been railroaded by real life lately, and scattered to the winds. Some of us are busy with other affairs and other people. Some of us are trying to further our careers. And hey, some of us just got burned the heck out and needed a break. Stuff happens to the best of us.
However, recently (very recently–as in, just under a month ago) many of us have finally slowly begun picking up the pieces and started working on new material. Lots of it. New material takes time, so I can’t promise an exact date of when it’ll show up. Also, I tend to not like to say exactly what the new material involves, because that would be roping us into a project, and there’s never a set queue for what our imaginations like to work on at any given time.
However! I can promise you that when the updates come, the fun will come with them. I’ve been looking across the vast expanse of online fanwork during my personal hiatus, and it would appear that the time is fast approaching for the Rangers to make their return, for they are once again needed. Peripheral plans beyond just fanworks are in the works as well (let’s just say I’m still dead-set on creating a community of sorts, for better or worse). And I’m pretty sure there’s also a small backlog of stuff that should have gotten posted and just never did. Gotta go find that.
Back to action, then. Keep watching this space, faithful viewers. :)

Ha! I was a fool to think I could make this some kind of weekly or at least regularly updated blog. My life, and those of most of the other Rangers is just too busy. We can only post when the inspiration strikes.
Like now, for instance! There’s more stuff coming. There’s actually already a huge backlog of stuff that needs to be posted, much of it coming from Skye, our newest Ranger. She’s the queen of short but extremely sweet fics. Like morsels of candy. Plus, at long last, I’ve started work on this year’s lemon. I won’t come out and say what it is, yet, but let’s say it’s the return of an old friend, and it needs to get done before the year’s out. :)
So get ready for thrills as we do what we do best in the coming months! Are you ready?

Knowing Your Enemy
It’s getting a bit obnoxious having all these pseudo-episodic posts on the front page of LRU, so I’m working on a main page sort of thing for FGM, most likely hosted by my personal site, www.meistin.org (PLUG PLUG!), and perhaps a mirror on this server. All pages will have to go through here first though, and the volumized acts archives will be updated somewhat behind it. Basically, it will put everything in one place, and best of all, commentary by me will be completely excised. Now isn’t that something you’d press ‘Continue’ for?
