Knowing Your Enemy
It’s getting a bit obnoxious having all these pseudo-episodic posts on the front page of LRU, so I’m working on a main page sort of thing for FGM, most likely hosted by my personal site, www.meistin.org (PLUG PLUG!), and perhaps a mirror on this server. All pages will have to go through here first though, and the volumized acts archives will be updated somewhat behind it. Basically, it will put everything in one place, and best of all, commentary by me will be completely excised. Now isn’t that something you’d press ‘Continue’ for?

Action-Packed, From Front to Back
One day, one of my characters will be awesome enough to be in a Racewing Fanservice Award. Ah, well, a man can dream. In the meantime, this next scene has so much action, it has to be taken in small doses.

The 2007 Fanservice Awards — First Half
(Originally Posted on The Fandom Ranger in May 2008)
Welcome, one, all and sundry, to the third Yearly Fanservice Awards, where we celebrate female character designs, both old and new, for a variety of reasons–some of them even approaching moral!
This is an event with a respectable history; it originally started in 2005 on account of me getting really, really bored. Since then, due to increasing bouts of narcissism over the years, the Awards have blossomed into the textual and visual spectacle you know it as today!
This entry marks the first half of the Awards–the Comeback Queens. Sometimes character designs from other media successfully make the jump to video games. Sometimes it happens in reverse–video game characters stake their claim elsewhere, in a bid to conquer all they see. Other times characters make a gallant return from the realm of video obscurity. Whatever the reason, they’re celebrated here, in this top 10 list of overachieving gals!
Before clicking onward, make sure, if you can help it, that your desktop is set at a 1280×1024 or higher resolution, and that you’ve got a decent amount of memory/spare CPU power for handling multiple embedded Youtubes. Yes, folks, this post does contain video references, and should also not be considered worksafe. The fact that I’m launching this on a weekend should have tipped that off.
Without further ado…
